Avery's Nursery

Back in December, I posted here about my inspiration for Avery's "Vintage Glam" nursery. Decorating her nursery was so much fun and was an amazing distraction while I was on bedrest. Since I couldn't move around all that much, my sweet husband and mom (who graciously stayed with us to help for months!) did a lot of the heavy lifting :)

The whole nursery centered around these two pieces (colette crib, adelaide armoire) from Restoration Hardware Baby...their things are so dreamy!  Avery's nursery is a mix of some investment pieces like the armoire which she can have forever and DIY projects/consignment store finds.

This mirror was actually a chalkboard that my mother in law gave to us! We took the chalkboard out, added a mirror and hung it above Avery's changing table. She loves to smile at herself in this mirror! The Avery burlap banner is from her baby shower.

Oh my word, this little girl has soooo many cute outfits!

This side table was $15 from an antique store. I made the A/K letters as a bedrest project using crepe paper and block letters from Michaels. The pom flowers were also an easy bedrest project and the vase was $5 from Target after Christmas :) Also on this table is Avery's first bible with her name on the cover.

Avery received these two cute stools for her baby shower!

The bible verse that I claimed for Avery while I was pregnant :)

 Exactly true

These bookshelves for the nursery were the best solution for one completely open wall. As a part of my baby shower, guests were asked to bring a book for Avery instead of  a card so I had quite a few books to display. The bookshelves are from Home Depot and were about $20 each!

The print was designed by yours truly and is in an Ikea frame!

This glider was a consignment shop makeover! The fabric is from Jo-Anns 40% off of course :)

Around the glider are a monogrammed trash can, moses basket and hot air balloons that are hanging from the ceiling. The hot air balloons were from a One Kings Lane sale. Avery LOVES to look up at them when I am feeding her bedtime bottle!

  1. What a sweet nursery! And congrats on the arrival of Avery, she's darling.

Our little girl is here too, and as I'm sure you know, life's been extra busy!
