Summer Style Finds with Walmart

Good Morning! I hope that you all had a great weekend! It is so hard to believe that our school year is almost over. The girls will be out of school in 2 weeks and we are so excited for summer. Over the past few weeks, I have found myself wearing a few more hats than usual – and I think most of us have! Summer break will be a welcomed time for us! The kids’ favorite activities typically involve playing in the pool and going on nature walks in our neighborhood, so I know we will be doing a lot of that!

Here in South Florida the weather has certainly felt like summer recently, and cool and comfortable style has been key for me! Chambray is one of my favorite warm weather fabrics because it is light and perfect for our Florida heat! (Affiliate links are used in this post)

I got this chambray romper from Walmart recently – it is a new arrival from their EV1 from Ellen DeGeneres line! It is no secret that I love to shop at Walmart for myself and for the girls. I consistently find items I love that last season after season. Their fashion selection this spring has been amazing and I was so happy with this chambray romper! It fits true to size and even fit my long torso being on the taller side. It is very functional for running around with the kids, but also looks put together for hopping on a casual video conference call with my team. My sandals are incredibly comfortable, and I am wearing my normal size!

Charlotte’s dress is so cute and comes in a 2-pack or on its own. Her breezy shoes are her favorite and great for water play or going on walks! I bought them last year and they still look brand new. A mom hack to share – I use a magic eraser clean them and it works so well to brighten them up after being worn! I am also including some of my other spring favorites below from Walmart!

Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post! As always, all opinions are my own.

Avery's New Reading Area & Some Of Our Favorite Books

Reading has been a hot topic in our house lately! Avery is starting to read a lot independently and Charlotte is just starting to put the pieces together and loves to be read to. Since Avery is enjoying reading at her own pace I wanted to create a book area in her room where she can easily see her books and grab them when she wants to read.

These acrylic bookshelves do just that. I love that they have a u-shape keeping the books secure while on display. We will rotate them out every so often as she reads through them. I included source information for the bookshelves and our favorite books in English (and some in Spanish since Avery does Spanish immersion - and Charlotte will start next year). Just as an FYI the cute flamingo book linked does not have words - just illustrations, but fun to create your own story to! The girls' Minnie pajamas are from Cecil & Lou and are linked below too! Their bedding is from Ikea.  Affiliate links are used in this post.
