Easy Fall Outfit Ideas at 40% Off!

Although it seems like fall is far away here in South Florida, I am so ready for a break from the heat! Old Navy is having a huge sale online where you can get 40% off of everything! There are no exclusions and no special code needed. It is a perfect time to stock up on cute pieces and staples for the whole family!

Today while I was out running errands, I ventured to the store to try on a few things before placing my online order! Here are some easy and affordable fall outfits that I put together all with pieces from the Old Navy sale!

Bag // Shoes (from last year, but linked the new version)

I love this dress! It has a midi length and I am wearing a size small.

I love this sweater vest! It is so comfortable and is the perfect layering piece for fall. I got a size small. This black and white plaid top is such a great length and will go with so much! This is a size small. And...how cute are these booties?! They are TTS and have a cute heel.  I love these flattering jeans and for a the price they can't be beat! I found them to be TTS. I am wearing a 6.

This camo shirt is so fun and is a size small! Perfect for layering or even tying around your waist.

These pants are a favorite! If you like leggings but want more of a pant look these are for you! I am wearing a size small. I paired it with one of my favorite Old Navy cardigans and a leopard scarf.

This chambray dress is the long sleeved version of one that I already have. I paired it with this cute vest and booties for a fall transition look. I am wearing a medium in this dress and the vest is a small.

Athleisure is my favorite. I wear it waaay more than I actually work out! These green pants are SO comfy and have mesh inserts. This is a size small, but I probably needed a medium - they were a little tight! I am wearing a medium jacket and large sweatshirt for a baggier fit.

This top is so comfortable and perfect for fall! Love it as a layering piece! And the booties are perfect!

This dress was SO much cuter in real life than online! I love the color - especially for game day for Florida State fans! You could even pair it with a leather jacket! I am wearing a medium.

This graphic sweatshirt is so perfect! I layered it with my favorite utility jacket and the plaid top seen above! I am wearing a small jacket and medium sweatshirt. You can shop this look below and other fun things that I found online that were not available for me to try on in the store. From an adorable peplum top to $12 leopard print heels and so many cute things for the girls, this is such a great sale! I hope you have fun shopping!

A Feminine, Rustic Bridal Shower

I am so excited to share a very special post with you all today! Kris' mom has not only been an incredible second mom, mentor and friend to me, but she is that to so many other women! She designed and hosted this gorgeous bridal shower for a friend and it is just PERFECT!

I mean, I am dying over all these details! The rustic charm mixed with the bright and oversize flowers is just ahhhmazing!! She is so talented and her natural gifts of hospitality and design have been used to bless so many. These thumbprint pictures are one of our favorite gifts to give to brides/moms to be. Guests are invited to add a thumb print leaf to the tree and sign their name. Then the family can keep it to remember how much their friends and family love them!

LOVE this favor idea! Freshly baked bread and a mini cutting board :) Something that can be eaten and then used!

Fall Hats Under $30

Happy Wednesday loves! Today I am talking about one of my favorite fall accessories, a great felt hat! I have always loved wearing hats to add something extra to my outfit, but I really started loving them after having kids. Not only are they cute but they are the easiest way to make me feel like I have it a little bit "together" when I really don't...and they cover roots, unwashed hair...the list goes on, ha!

I found some amazing deals below on great fall hats to try. Some even come in a variety of sizes if you need one smaller or bigger.

Perfect Fall Transition Dress

Happy Friday friends! I am so excited to share this dress with you today. The material is so light and comfortable; it is prefect for fall! I love the heather/taupe color and the soft ruffle sleeve. I paired it with booties  now, but also plan on wearing it with some over the knee boots and a faux fur vest when the weather gets cooler! One of the very best parts is that it is only $29!

Boho Chic Fall Transition Look

Living in South Florida has its benefits...proximity to the water, wearing light sweaters in December, palm trees...however in August, it is just plain HOT! So you are probably wondering why I am wearing a leather jacket, ha! I have posted about this dress before (here), but it is currently on sale using the code DRESSY until 8/19 for $27! So I wanted to show you another way to style it for fall! I love to take lighter dresses and pair them with a leather jacket and booties for an instant fall transformation! This hat is one of my favorites and is on sale today for 30% off! So many great deals!

Back To School With JORD Watches

Time is one of the only things that we need more of, but that we can't get back. In my work life as a small business owner, I am uber organized. I am on time, meet deadlines and the people I work with even tease me for being so "on it". When I had Charlotte and became a mom to two, I struggled with the extra mom responsibilities and keeping up with everything. I was missing things everywhere. I thought it would be double the work, not 4 times the work, ha! It has been a major learning curve and I am still learning how to balance it all.

Today I am excited to share some strategies that I have used to reduce stress and maximize my time with the girls during the school year as we are headed back to school next week! I have been thinking about doing this post for some time now because it has been an area where I have personally made some major progress and have seen the benefits of using these strategies. So here we go!

1. The first tip is something you have heard before, but get and use a planner (or find a phone/computer based system that works for you). I use this  Emily Ley planner and it has been such a huge help! It fits in my large tote and I write everything down that has to be accomplished for the day marking things off as I go. I will also take the school calendar and will write all major events/breaks for the year in my planner so I don't forget anything. I transfer major events and reminders to a framed family planner in our kitchen like this. That way my husband can also see what is going on and I am not scrambling in the morning because I forgot it was Wacky Hat Day!

2. Pick out your kid's clothes for the week and organize them by day. I use an organizer like this that hangs in the closet to place their clothes in. This has been such a huge time saver in making our mornings go more smoothly and ensuring we have clean and ready to go uniforms!

3. Determine your morning routine and prepare for it. If you make coffee in the morning, then make sure that you have water in your Keurig machine, your coffee mug is ready to go, etc. Anything you can do at night to make mornings easier and smoother, the better!

4. I pack all of the girl's lunches for the week in advance. This has been one of the biggest time savers. It takes me 45 minutes to pack lunches for 2 girls for a week It has been such a blessing to not have to think about lunches at night or in the morning! So here is what I do...on Sunday night, Kris takes point on bath/bedtime prep and I make lunches. I use these bento boxes, these mini inserts, and these silicone cups to store their lunches. I cut all of the fruit, veggies, protein, etc at the same time and distribute evenly into their lunch boxes. If I am making sandwiches, then I will wait to put on the mayo/mustard until the morning. I stack them in the refrigerator and breathe easy knowing lunches are taken care of for the week!

5. Plan quick and healthy breakfasts that your kids will eat. Mornings before school are not the time to battle it out over eating with a toddler, ha! Everyone will be stressed! It took us a while to determine what works, but my girls normally have a smoothie or fruit/veggie pouch and organic pancakes or waffles that I buy frozen from Trader Joe's. On the weekends or special school occasions we will branch out to fancier things.

I hope those strategies are helpful to you! If you have any suggestions or ideas for me I would love to know!

Since I have been so focused on maximizing time, AND in the market for a new watch, I was thrilled when JORD Watches reached out to collaborate with me on a giveaway for my readers! They make the most beautiful wooden watches.

I was so excited to pick the Frankie Series Zebrawood + Champagne watch. It is so gorgeous in person, every time I wear it I get questions about it! I love the oversized face and the champagne color that matches everything. I also how light weight it is. My watch is made of 100% natural hand-finished wood and it has an ultra-slim design.

Their women's watches are beautiful, and their unique men's watches are amazing as well! I keep thinking that my husband would love one as a gift for Christmas or our Anniversary.  They offer custom engraving as an added feature!

Now for the giveaway! Every person who enters will have a chance to win a $100 gift code to use on the JORD site! One lucky person will win, but everyone will receive a consolation code worth $25 once the contest ends.

The giveaway will close September 10, 2017 at 11:59pm. Both the $100 and the $25 codes will expire on November 26, 2017.
