His Bride Event

Hi loves! I'm so sorry I have been such a bad blogger this past week, I have missed you! However I promise that I have a good reason for my absence.  For the past six months I have been working on a charity event with a group of amazing women from my church called His Bride. His Bride is a new branch of an existing non profit called Trees of Hope which helps women who have been victims of human trafficking, sexual abuse and who have other wounds from their past. It is an incredible ministry that my good friend Katie's mom Dee leads. Katie and Dee felt God calling them to start a bridal consignment shop where all the store profits would go towards Trees of Hope and they asked me and my mother in law Terri to get involved.  I love the concept of His Bride because the women who find healing in Christ through Trees of Hope see their true beauty unveiled through Christ as His Bride!

Well our first event ever was held this Saturday and it was better than I could have ever expected! We had over 100 women attend where they ate brunch, bid on silent auction items, watched a bridal fashion show and listened to amazing survivors tell their stories. Terri was in charge of the decor and she did the most incredible job!

I spent each night last week wrapping up the final details of the fashion show as well as some DIY projects for the decor. We were so blessed to have EIGHT NEW wedding dresses from Priscilla of Boston donated by a member of our church, so they were showcased during the fashion show and were all for sale! We also showcased two cocktail dresses as His Bride will accept bridesmaids dresses, mother and other wedding related items. I took a ton of pictures this weekend via Instagram so I am linking up with Ashley from A Little Dash of Ash for her Instagram Party! One of our friends Heather is an incredible photographer and she took professional pictures which I will post when they are ready, but for now here are my Instagram pics from this weekend!

I am so excited to see what the next steps for His Bride are and to be a part of this awesome non-profit. I hope you all have an amazing Monday!
xoxo Meggan

Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.
